Choose the material and shape that suit how the seal will be used and kept. Black resin is the most economical and precise for everyday use. Natural soapstone gives the traditional weight and individual grain of a carved stone seal. Most customers choose square + black resin for a first everyday seal.
What you receive: one engraved seal in your selected shape and material, a shallow dish of water-based ink, and a test impression made on paper before it leaves us.
Material notes: soapstone colour and grain vary from piece to piece. Wood grain and tone also vary. We select the closest available stock, but we cannot promise one exact pattern from a photograph.
Why water-based ink: traditional cinnabar paste is oil-based, and oil-based inks are treated as restricted goods by many air carriers. A water-based pad works, travels without trouble, and does not dry out in transit.
Use note: this is a personal name seal, not a legally registered company chop or signature seal. Do not use it for contracts, banking, company registration or legal filings.
Lead time: about 5-7 working days for resin and 7-10 working days for soapstone, then shipping.
